Ruhi Mansey

Ruhi Mansey is an Indian-American producer and director based in Los Angeles. Originating in the Sanskrit language, her name ‘Ruhi’ means “of the soul.” Ever since she was 12, Ruhi has made it her mission to exemplify this through her work by telling meaningful stories in the documentary and narrative form. 

 

Through her years of storytelling through Bharatanatyam (Indian classical dance), violin performance, speech and debate, and cinema, Ruhi has received national and state recognition for her work. In 2017, she was named a National YoungArts Foundation Winner in Cinematic Arts and was awarded three student EMMYs from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Suncoast Chapter for her Directing and Editing. In 2018, Ruhi was named a Miami Herald Silver Knight Honorable Mention recipient for her artistic achievements in film and community service efforts as the captain of her Indian dance team focused on the empowerment of female voices. In Summer 2021, she was one of the 30 Television Academy Foundation fellows in the country.

 

Ruhi has interned at Amazon Studios, Legendary Entertainment, and Wayfarer Studios. She is a senior at the University of Southern California, majoring in Film and Television Production with a minor in Marketing. She serves as a third-year Resident Assistant in USC Undergraduate Housing, is a video producer with the Trojan Marketing Group, and a member of the service organization Project RISHI. As she grows into an artist of a diverse background, Ruhi continues pouring her soul into creating meaningful films that educate, promote, and inspire her viewers.
